.pk Registration
Your .pk name, registered from any country
Your name goes straight onto PKNIC, Pakistan's official registry — a route most international hosts simply do not have. $7.50/yr on the registry's two-year minimum, with no registrant details on public WHOIS.

The Difference
Most hosts cannot get you this name
The mainstream registrars do not carry .pk at all, so we opened a direct line to PKNIC instead.
Taken straight from PKNIC
The .pk registry is PKNIC, and PKNIC is precisely where your name goes on record. Most international hosts cannot offer one at all — the large registrars simply do not carry the ending.
Public WHOIS shows nothing personal
Query any .pk and PKNIC returns status, dates and nameservers only. Your name and address never appear, so there is no privacy extra to add to the order.
Local standing from day one
A .com.pk tells Pakistani customers you belong. Across trade, retail and services that recognition sells better than any generic ending.
Matching hosting with free SSL
Point it at any of our plans and the certificate is issued and reissued at no cost, with pricing shown in rupees even though the charge itself runs in dollars.
The Numbers
Four endings, one price
PKNIC charges the same for all four and asks two years up front on each.
| Extension | Per year | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|
| .pk | $7.50 | Open to anybody — Pakistan's bare country code |
| .com.pk | $7.50 | The usual choice for a Pakistani business |
| .net.pk | $7.50 | Meant for network and infrastructure firms |
| .org.pk | $7.50 | Non-profits, associations and community bodies |
Your first payment comes to $15.00 — two years, since PKNIC offers no single-year term. From then on it renews at $7.50/yr.

Who Buys One
You need not live in Pakistan to hold a .pk
The belief that a .pk needs a Pakistani identity card is the single most persistent myth about this ending, and it is simply not true — PKNIC sets no local-presence rule at all. Most of the names we file go to diaspora founders, exporters selling into the country, and brands claiming their name there before somebody else does.
All it takes is a card cleared for international payments and a few minutes. The availability check queries PKNIC directly as you type, so the answer you get is the registry's answer rather than a cached guess from a reseller feed.
- No CNIC and no local address required
- Registered from any country, paid by card
- All four PKNIC endings available
- Kept in the same account as the hosting
Before You Order
Two quirks worth knowing up front
Both are unusual enough that springing them on you at the checkout screen would be poor form.
Two years is the minimum
A single-year .pk does not exist; PKNIC will not permit one. Your first payment buys two years at $15.00. Any one-year .pk price you see elsewhere is only half the real bill.
A person completes it, not an API
The availability check reads live from PKNIC's WHOIS, but the registration is entered by our team by hand. Allow up to one working day. We'd rather tell you that than promise “instant” and fall short.
FAQ
.pk questions, answered plainly
Why do registrants inside Pakistan pay less?
PKNIC runs two pricing tiers, and we will say plainly which one this is. Accounts based in Pakistan qualify for a rupee rate international registrars cannot reach; everybody else pays the registry's international rate, which is what our cost is built on — and we sell below it, at $7.50 a year. If you live in Pakistan, hold a local payment method and can work through the registry's own process, going direct may still cost less — we will not pretend otherwise. What we offer is the international route: pay by card, keep WHOIS clear of your details, and hold the name in the same account as your hosting.
What does a .pk name cost?
$7.50 per year. Two years is the registry's minimum term, so the opening payment of $15.00 buys both of them outright. That rule comes from the registry rather than from us — a one-year .pk simply does not exist. After that the renewal stays at $7.50 a year and never rises once the first term closes.
Who set the two-year minimum?
PKNIC set it. The rule belongs to the official registry and binds every registrar, this one included. Any site quoting a one-year .pk price is either showing half the real bill or has no way to register the name at all. Better that the whole $15.00 sits in front of you now than appears as a surprise at checkout.
Can anybody see my details in a WHOIS lookup?
They cannot. A public WHOIS check on a .pk returns only whether the name is registered, its creation and expiry dates, and its nameservers — never a registrant name, address, telephone number or email. That is rare among endings, and it works in your favour: elsewhere you either accept publication or pay for masking. On .pk nothing is published in the first place, so there is nothing extra to buy.
Is a CNIC or Pakistani address required?
No to both. There is no local-presence rule at PKNIC and no CNIC is ever requested, so a .pk or .com.pk can be taken from any country on earth. That myth is the most stubborn thing about this ending. Most names we register go to diaspora businesses, exporters, and companies selling into Pakistan from overseas or claiming a brand there before anybody else does.
How quickly will my .pk go live?
As you type, the availability check queries PKNIC's own WHOIS, so the answer is current rather than pulled from a cache. The registration itself is entered by our team rather than fully automated, so allow up to one working day for the name to reach your account. An email arrives the moment it is active. We spell that out because promising an instant result would set an expectation we cannot keep.
Will you take on a .pk I registered somewhere else?
We can, though the registry runs the handover itself rather than the auth-code flow you may know from .com transfers. Raise a ticket with the name and we will walk you through exactly what PKNIC wants, then file the paperwork on your behalf. There is no fee for that help.
How do I choose between the four endings?
A business normally wants .com.pk; it is the one Pakistani customers recognise quickest. Bare .pk is shorter and open to everybody, a strong fit for a brand or personal site while the name is still free. .org.pk suits non-profits and associations; .net.pk is meant for network operators. The four cost the same and all four carry that two-year minimum.
Which payment options work from inside Pakistan?
Card, and only a card enabled for international transactions. To be straight with you: PayPal does not offer consumer accounts in Pakistan, and we cannot yet take JazzCash, Easypaisa or a local bank transfer. If none of those works for you, better to know now than after you have fallen for a name.

Pair With Hosting
Hosting to sit behind the name
Our servers run from a London datacentre, roughly 200 ms from Pakistan. Cached pages still land quickly at that distance; the delay is more noticeable once you are working inside an admin screen, and we would rather say so than quote a figure nobody measured.
The whole picture — latency, how people pay, and what a Pakistani audience actually gets — is set out on hosting for Pakistan and where we host.
- Rupee pricing shown, dollars charged
- Cards accepted from anywhere
- Free SSL the moment the name points here
- The move handled by us at no cost

Check .pk AvailabilityMost international hosts cannot sell you a .pk at all, because the large registrars simply do not carry it. We file with PKNIC directly, which is why the ending exists on this site and almost nowhere else outside Pakistan. Underneath it is NVMe storage, LiteSpeed caching and a 99.9% uptime commitment written into the SLA rather than the brochure.
Meant for founders, exporters and diaspora businesses claiming a Pakistani name. Every registration, renewal and transfer is quoted with its renewal figure attached, WHOIS privacy costs nothing on any registry that allows it, and the single step nobody can undo, the registration, is flagged before payment rather than after.
Four endings, one registry, and no local presence needed
PKNIC runs .pk and delegates .com.pk, .net.pk and .org.pk, and all four are registered straight with the registry rather than through a reseller chain that never had access to them. No CNIC is needed and no Pakistani address is needed; that rule does not exist, however often it is repeated. The registry does insist on two years as a minimum, so the opening payment covers both years outright and the renewal after that holds at the same yearly rate. The availability check reads live from PKNIC's own WHOIS, so what you see is the registry's answer rather than a cached list.
Speed is engineered in rather than bolted on with a plugin: NVMe arrays keep reads immediate, LiteSpeed answers over HTTP/2, and the server caches before your application does anything at all.
Why the first invoice covers two years
The oldest move in hosting is a cheap first year and a quiet rise at renewal. Hosting & Domains works the other way about: the number you join at is the number that renews, and anything promotional is flagged on the page before you pay. A .pk is bought two years at a time and PKNIC takes the name as soon as the registration is accepted, so it is not a purchase anybody can reverse; check the spelling and the ending before you send the order.
The two-year minimum is PKNIC's rule and it binds every registrar the registry delegates to, ours included, so anywhere advertising a one-year .pk is quoting half of what the order will really cost. There is no charge for privacy, since a .pk publishes nothing worth hiding, and nothing is added at checkout beyond the registry term.

What a WHOIS lookup gives away
Query a .pk and PKNIC returns the status, the creation and expiry dates and the nameservers. No registrant name, no address, no telephone number, no email address, which is rare enough among endings to be worth saying plainly, and it removes the privacy upsell other endings depend on. DNS for the name answers from our London datacentre alongside the rest of your records, and pointing it at hosting on this account issues a free certificate without you opening a file.
Support runs every hour of the day, staffed by the people who administer these servers, with a first reply aimed at 2 hours and 1 hour when a site is down. No tier hands you to a bot.
- .pk, .com.pk, .net.pk and .org.pk, all one price
- No CNIC and no Pakistani address needed
- Automatic failover inside our London datacentre
- LiteSpeed serving off 100% NVMe storage

Still Curious
Questions that keep coming up
Does a .pk have to be hosted inside Pakistan?
No, since the ending and the server are separate decisions. A .pk points wherever its nameservers say, and search engines read the ending itself as the local signal rather than the server's address. Our hardware sits in London, roughly 200 ms from Karachi or Lahore: cached pages still arrive quickly over that distance, while the round trip shows itself once you are clicking around a dashboard. If your traffic is almost entirely inside Pakistan and you spend the day in wp-admin, that trade-off is better known before ordering than after.
Can a .pk be moved away later, or pointed elsewhere?
Both, whenever you like. The nameservers are yours to edit in the panel, so the name can point at any host anywhere without asking us. Moving the registration itself goes through PKNIC's own handover rather than the EPP code flow a .com uses: raise a ticket, tell us where it is going, and we file the paperwork from this side at no charge, exactly as we do for names arriving.
Does the price move at renewal?
The same rate and the same amount. There is no introductory price here that quietly doubles once you have settled in.
Can a .pk registration be cancelled or refunded?
No registrar can do it: once PKNIC accepts the registration the two-year term is spent. Check the spelling and the ending first, since .pk and .com.pk are different names. What we can do is say so in advance: if you are in Pakistan with a local payment method, the registry's own rupee tier is cheaper than the international rate this page is built on, and telling you beats taking an order you come to resent.
