Make it your primary brand address and the recall economics are the ones every non-.com ending lives with, sharpened by a read that strikes younger audiences as dated. Give it the other job and the picture changes: an established name available to a firm that would rather hold something with years behind it, or the defensive sibling that finishes off a set. Sound registration, ordinary rate.
Is there any limit on what a .biz can be used for?
Bona fide business and commercial use is what the charter covers, and that intent still runs through the registry's policies, though enforcement against ordinary registrants has in practice been light. Put the ending to the work it was built for, a commercial presence, and the question never arrives at your door.
How do transfers and renewals behave on a .biz?
Standard gTLD behaviour throughout: transfers on an auth code under ICANN policy, the familiar sixty-day locks after a registration or a previous move, the term usually extended as part of the transfer itself, and grace then redemption in the ordinary order once a name lapses.
